Golfers need to understand that in order to create backspin, trajectory and distance control the ball MUST be hit in a downward motion. To do this the club shaft MUST be leaning forward at Impact!
This means that the hands have to lead through Impact...not the clubhead!
The dimensions of the down stroke are always three dimensional, just as the back stroke works in three dimensions. These are downward, outward and forward. Look at any picture of your favorite player and see what's happening at Impact. The hands are leading the clubhead, the hands are IN FRONT of the ball, and the club continues downward AFTER Impact to Low Point.
Hitting down creates backspin which creates lift! Hitting up produces almost all topped shots!
